With Over 100 Attendees, the 2016 DCS China Users' Conference was a Model Success

2016 the 2^nd DCS China Users’ Conference has been successfully held in Shanghai Jianguo Hotel on November 2nd -3rd.

Following the success of the 2014 DCS ASIAN User Conference in Shanghai, ETA-China hosted a general assembly and training conference for the APAC region to help local companies learn about advances in tolerance analysis solutions as well as best practices and processes from other manufacturers. With ample time to network, this event also provided a community of current users to spread best practices, tips and applications for 3DCS tolerance analysis software.

Donald Jasurda, the Vice President of DCS, and Gary Bell, the senior technical engineer at DCS, made presentations to introduce the DCS Business Strategic Vision, 3DCS New Functions in Version 7.4 and 3DCS Mechanical & AAO.

ETA-China invited eighteen keynote speakers from domestic well-known auto manufacturers, auto parts manufacturers and universities to share their experience with 3DCS applications in Dimensional Tolerance Analysis and GD&T. With a total of 130 participants joining the event and sharing tolerance analysis solutions and applications, it was clear that everyone learned a great deal and walked away knowing more about the use of dimensional engineering.

The 1.5 day conference was highly praised by all attendees and recognized as a rare opportunity for professional sharing and networking. Compared to the 1^st China Users’ Conference in 2012 and the 2014 Asia Pacific Users’ Conference, there have been great advances in both the application and understanding of dimensional engineering and GD&T in China.

After the conference, ETA-China also held a 3DCS Basic and Advanced Training for users to help them solve various problems using 3DCS software. This additional training included a vartiety of applications, from basic tolerances, moves and measures to the use of Finite Element Analysis FEA in a 3DCS model. Altogether, the event provided both examples of dimensional management application, as well as direct training to apply the tools and technology itself.

With a full room, it was clear that dimensional management in China is on the rise

ETA-China jhas been promoting 3DCS software in China since 2009. In these past 8 years, the use of 3DCS has increased rapidly. With the support of DCS and customers, the manufacturing industry in China will continue to advance in dimensional tolerance analysis technology, continually improved their manufacturing capability.
